Key Responsibilities:
- Carries out conceptual and actual design for machine equipment and system.
- Leads and provides training to Junior Design Engineers.
- Strives to meet set production and quality goals on operation assigned.
Requirements:
- Produce a quality design to meet internal & external expectations.
- Explore improvement opportunities and makes proposals for corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare all parts drawings, info for user manual and maintain a proper technical recording.
- Provide guidance to new or junior Design Engineer & help them by providing solution or others technical information.
- Always provide solutions for projects & arrangement for improvement.
- Take in charge of the department and to make a right decision.
- Attend to production & customers design related issues & provide commitment on the improvement action.
- Follow up closely on every single design that been done.
- Make sure the design output meets the design input.
- The design must go through a proper review & verification before send out for production, fabrication or purchasing & sourcing.
- Provide training to the Junior Design Engineer.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degrees in Mechanical Engineering or related field experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in automation equipment design & trouble-shooting.
- Strong experience automation design and CAD software.
- Familiar with pneumatics and motion controls.
